Gifts in Kind

International

Dell is helping Gifts in Kind International assist nonprofit and Title 1 Schools with programs in the areas of education (improving K-12 and adult literacy), job training, increasing access to education, technology and opportunitites for young people; along with the physically disabled and financially disadvantaged and other vital community services.

The gifts in Kind International has donated 540 Dell All-In-One Printers to the Great Plains RC&D, Toni Pickle, and Wheatland RC&D. Two-thirds of these printers have already been distributed. These printers are being given away on a first come first serve basis to those eligible. Organizations with a 501 C (3) Status and Title 1 Schools are eligible to receive one of these printers.

The Dell All-In-One Printers are equipped for small business owners offering color printing, scanning, and photocopying. In addition they produce great photographs. A compatible ink cartridge and printer cable will be provided with each printer. The printers will be provided on an as is basis. The Great Plains RC&D will not be responsible for obtaining any additional ink cartridge(s) included with these printers and any printer cables, installation, repairs, service and other start-up and maintenance fees related to the printer donation. Computers for Learning

Schools that need computer equipment are encouraged to register at the Computers For Learning website Computer for Learning website. Executive Order 12999 directs government agencies to donate excess computer equipment to educational institutions. The Computers For Learning website has been established by GSA to provide schools with the ability to see what equipment is available that matches their needs and request that the equipment be transferred to them.
